21 year old Shoot Boxing star, Rena will be undergoing foot surgery on the 21st. Rena injured her foot at the end of last year and had to have a bolt placed in her foot. Wednesday’s surgery will be to remove the bolt. Rena stated that a comeback by February seems unlikely and that April seems more realistic. Rena is coming off a resurgence of late with victories over Erika Kamimura and another S-Cup Tournament victory. Some of you may not know that she entered the tournament with her injured foot, which makes her victory all the more impressive. Hopefully Rena’s surgery goes smoothly and she recovers quickly. After her recovery, Rena may have a rematch with Kamimura lined up, as Kamiumura is the RISE number 1 contender or she may have a couple more Shoot Boxing matches beforehand.
