Rin Nakai won her much anticipated rematch against Danielle West. There was some drama before the fight as West had a difficult time making weight. She blamed the flight for her difficulty. This was a big victory for Nakai. It redeems her draw, which many saw as a loss, to West last year, it builds on her undefeated streak and hopefully the people who harassed her last year, which almost caused her to retire, will finally leave her alone. Just as this was a big victory for Nakai, this is a bad West. This marks her third loss in a row, two of those losses were by TKO. This loss also pushes her to 4-5-1.  The victory makes Nakai the Athena Champion in Pancrase as well.

Because West was overweight, no knees or chokes were allowed

If we can find the fight video, we will post it

Damn shame for Danielle West. What was the deal with the no knees or chokes? did Nakai’s corner ask for that or is that an actual Pancrase rule?

Also, we got more pictures from the weigh ins? ~fappity-fap~
