This Saturday, Ayaka Hamasaki (8-0) goes into the cage to face off against one of her toughest challenges to date in Emi Fujino (11-5). While Hamasaki is undefeated, with five of her wins coming before the final bell, she hasn’t faced an opponent in Jewels that possesses the physical power and toughness of Fujino. Fujino has to be one of the strongest women in Jewels. She also possesses a solid punch, is smothering and has never been finished. Fujino is coming off of a 44 second TKO in kick boxing and Hamasaki is coming off of a submission victory at Invicta FC. If Hamasaki is able to submit Fujino, she will do something not even her teacher, Megumi Fujii, could do and in doing so would make a huge statement to the JWMMA and WMMA world. With the fight going down this Saturday, what better way to get pumped up for it than to watch an interview that I conducted with Hamasaki at AACC? Sit back and enjoy as I pick Megumi Fujii protege, inaugural Jewels Lightweight champion and undefeated fighter, Ayaka Hamasaki’s mind.
