The full fight card for ONE: ‘Warriors of Light’ is out. The likes of Kazuki Tokudome, Adrian Pang, Shoko Sato, Mark Abelardo and Kota Shimoishi are all involved in the May 10th event in Bangkok.
Tokudome (18-10-1) went to war with Narantungalag Jadambaa on his ONE Championship debut, dropping a narrow decision. In his most recent bout the 32 year old was stopped by up and coming contender Christian Lee and he will be looking to register his first win with the promotion in Bangkok.
He’s been matched with Pang (23-12-2) a seasoned veteran who also has a decision loss to Jadambaa on his record. The 41 year old is coming off a TKO win against Shimoishi and his recent record would be much better had it not been for a couple of debatable split decisions.
Shimoishi (21-7) is another Japanese lightweight looking for his first ONE Championship win. He’s been matched with promotional newcomer Pieter Buist (14-4) who has spent most of his career competing in The Netherlands.
The card also features an intriguing bantamweight bout between the highly experienced Sato (31-16-3-1) and in form New Zealander Abelardo (18-5). The Japanese fighter was automatically awarded a ONE Championship contract due to his status as a reigning Shooto champion.
As previously announced there will be two titles on the line at ONE: ‘Warriors of Light’. For the second time this year Nong-O Gaiyanghadao headlines a Bangkok card, defending his bantamweight Muay Thai title against Hiroaki Suzuki.
In the co-main event the inaugural flyweight kickboxing title is up for grabs. Crowd favourite Petchdam Gaiyanghadao faces Elias Mahmoudi for the newly minted strap.
