A featherweight bout was added to the DREAM 18 New Years Eve show today.

Tatsuya Kawajiri will meet fellow featherweight Michihiro Omigawa in a bout that features two of Japan’s most talented featerweights.

Kawajiri has been inactive as of late as the fight seen in Japan has not allowed for much.  After securing a dominant win on NYE 2011, the Crusher has kept it rather quiet, save for a OneFC fight back in March where he defeated an outmatched Donald Sanchez.

Omigawa went thru the grinder that is the UFC and came out on the bad end of things.  Subject to a handful of controversial decisions, Omigawa was given an optimal number of chances to redeem himself but never could get things going.  During his SRC reign, Omigawa was seen as one of the most dominant featherweights in the world, but when taking his game to the highest level he just did not deliver.

The fight will take place in Saitama, Japan on December 31, 2012.
