DEEP president Shigeru Saeki confirmed yesterday that Orville Smith has pulled out of his bantamweight bout with former Sengoku Featherweight champion Masanori Kanehara due to “various circumstances”

Kanehara will now take on Tom McKenna, who hails from Louisville Kentucky. McKenna’s young career has seen him go 6-2, five of those win coming via submission. His last fight was at SFL 8 back in November, defeating Hardeep Singh via Barbo Choke.

The bout will mark Kanehara’s third fight at bantamweight, winning his previous two fights in impressive fashion.
