Daniel Ghita will now have a new opponent.
honata Diniz (7-2) has been given the chance of a lifetime as he will replace Fabiano Cyclone in Glory’s NYE tournament.
Ghita, one of – if not, the world’s best heavyweight kickboxer and a favorite in the tournament should not have any issue with the opponent change. A fighter with some of the most brutal leg kicks in the sport, Ghita will look to make short work of Diniz in order to allow him to be as fresh as possible for his later fights.
Diniz did not want to back out of the fight, according to his team. After a long discussion with doctors, it was they who forced him out of the tournament ultimately leading to the opponent change.
The tournament is part of DREAM 18 NEW YEARS EVE SPECIAL, to be held December 31st 2012 in Tokyo, Japan at the Saitama Super Arena, Japan’s home for major combat sports events. Shinya Aoki and Antonio McKee will headline the MMA/Kickboxing show which features one of the best kickboxing tournaments in recent time and some of Japan’s most talented mixed martial artists.
