A crowd of 1,700 fans packed the Korakuen Hall to witness the end of one of the greatest careers in MMA history and say farewell to one of the sports most beloved warriors, Kazuo Misaki.
Misaki appeared one last time in the ring for a two round public sparring exhibition against friend and team mate, Akihiro Gono. Followed by an extremely emotional retirement ceremony. Misaki had this to say “I have learned two important things from fighting for about 12 years and 40 fights. “appreciation” is one, “challenges” is the other” (Loose translation).
Everyone here at Asianmma wants to deeply thank Mr. Misaki for all the memories and wish him a happy retirement.
