Two very experienced fighters will face off at Pancrase 306. JJ Ambrose and Akihiro Murayama are booked for a bout that pits a Bellator veteran against a former Welterweight King of Pancrase.

The promotion announced the matchup on Twitter:

Murayama (20-9-9) has spent virtually his entire career competing at 170lbs. He challenged unsuccessfully for the Pancrase welterweight title in 2014 but went on to win it two years later.

The 39 year old was last seen in action at Pancrase 302 where he dropped a unanimous decision to Hiroyuki Tetsuka. He is currently ranked 5th in the division by the promotion.

Ambrose (31-8-0-2) fought for Pancrase in 2015, dropping a decision to Kazuki Tokudome. He is coming off back to back wins and has won seven out of his last eight bouts.

Meanwhile two veteran middleweights go head to head at Pancrase 306 when Ikuhisa Minowa and Eiji Ishikawa face off. Between them the two men have fought 172 times.

The Pancrase 306 card also features a match between two flyweight veterans with Ryuichi Miki taking on Manabu Inoue. Other fighters in action include Suguru Hayasaka, Kohei Sugiyama, Adam Antolin and Toshikazu Suzuki.
