The 18th DREAM was a success of sorts, in that it made it’s way to over 200 countries by way of television and aired online to nearly every possible country in the world. Marcus Luer, GLORY’s CEO had much to say about the GLORY brand, and DREAM.
DREAM will continue in Japan, and Japan only. The promotion, now run primarily by GSI, will continue it’s longstanding traditions of representing JMMA on a large scale and bringing top level MMA to the world.
By joining the GLORY brand with the DREAM brand, you cleverly setup the ability to copromote shows, similar to the way DREAM and K-1 did. This was an aspect of JMMA that fans grew to love, starting with the K-1 Dynamite!! series, and continuing on with Genki Desu Ka! Omisoka 2011.
Luer commented that DREAM will not be leaving the country, in other words they are promoting shows in Japan only
