Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that The Nature Boy, Ric Flair is expected to make an appearance with AJPW at the end of January.
According to Meltzer, the Japanese promotion has been working diligently to get a hold of Flair for one of their bigger shows. Apparently Flair and the organization have agreed on terms that will see Flair wrestle on their January 26th show at Tokyo’s Ota Ward Gym. Ric Flair has not wrestled with the promotion in over 25 years, thus marking his return after a long and successful career.
In addition, Reid Flair has also signed a deal with the AJPW for three months. The 24 year old son of Ric Flair has been training extensively in Japan and will fulfill a three month contract with the promotion.
Flair was most recently seen on the WWE’s annual award show slapping a figure four on Paul Heyman. It has been said that we can expect Flair to show up quite a bit more in 2013 with the WWE. With shows booked in both Japan and the United States, Flair is obviously going against his doctors orders to calm down, but why stop him now? Wooooooooooooo!!!
