Dominant UFC lightweight champion, Benson Henderson, is featured on the cover of the Japanese combat sports magazine GONG, this week.
The magazine features the upcoming bout between Gilbert Melendez and Henderson. The episode digs into the fighters ethnic background as both come from two different said backgrounds, Henderson Korean and Melendez of Hispanic descent.
Kazuyoshi Ishii is also featured in the magazine. Ishii is the brains behind K-1 and took the brand on a meteoric rise before being locked away in prison. In the interview, Ishii talks of many things, but one thing stuck out quite a bit, that being the relationship between FEG and Viacom. Ishii also gets into the fold on K-1 and GLORY, who replaced K-1 as the largest kickboxing brand in the world.
The special edition magazine is the 250th release.
