DEEP Light Heavyweight Champion Yoshiyuki Nakanishi is heading to Europe. The Japanese Sambo Champion has signed with the European promotion World Freefight Challenge and make his debut against Aleksandar Radosavljevic at WFC 18 in Slovenia on April 21st.

Nakanishi rose to fame after winning the DEEP Light Heavyweight Tournament back in 2010, where he became the promotion’s first, and to this day the only, Light Heavyweight Champion. He has defeated the likes of Katsuyori Shibata, Bernard Ackah and Christian M’Pumbu. With no immediate challengers for his belt, Nakanishi looks outside of Japan for elite competition.

His opponent Radosavljevic has a record of 11-4, six of those wins coming by knockout/TKO.
