Another two fights have been added to the incredibly stacked DEEP 62 Impact card in April.
The legendary Akihiro Gono will make his return to mixed martial arts when he takes on Sengoku veteran Taisuke Okuno. Gono announced his retirement from MMA competition last year after his loss to Mike Chandler but the 38 year old has kept himself busy since then by competing in Shootboxing. Gono will look to snap a three fight losing streak, dating back to 2010.
DEEP Welterweight Champ, Yuya Shirai will defend his title for the third time against Bellator and Sengoku veteran, Dan Hornbuckle. Shirai is coming off a decision victory over Yuki Okano at DEEP 61 in February. Meanwhile Hornbuckle returns to Japan for the first time since 2009. He was last seen defeating UFC vet Pete Spratt at Legacy FC 17.
